The metamorphisis continues

Another partly sunny warm day in China. Mayleah woke at 5:30 and played for quite awhile. ESPN had on the Wake Forest/Duke game from last sunday night and I we watched then till breakfast. She ate well again and afterwards we went to the play room. When she walked in she saw the ball and ran and got it. She played catch with Chris and was running around and laughing. Every so often she would realize her stuffed lamb was not close enough to her so she would run and get it and bring it over to where she was. It definitely is a security item for her. Other parents and children joined us and we had some adult interaction and we could see how all of the kids were adapting. When we were done we told Mayleah we were leaving and she returned her toy to the shelve and took off running out of the room and down the hall. When she rounded the corner we thought she might stop but she kept going all the way to the elevator bank. She was giggling and smiling all the way. We headed out to the pool area and she continued her spurt of energy up the steps and I caught her on the way down as she tried to jump the last one. Once outside she ran over to the railing by the river and slapped the concrete pillar like she won. I can see her getting instigated by Brandon and Drew into some mischief all the while they laugh. We went to the park in the middle of town and she went up and down the slide and played there for awhile. She just fell asleep. We'll see how long she is out for. She will come to me and set on my lap or play but she is bonded more to Chris, comes in handy for the diaper duty. The hotel room is nice but it gets small pretty quick. We'll go for some more walks when she wakes up.
Have a great day in the snow.
Ken
