Hi,
Now that you have seen the pictures I will give you an update on how our afternoon went...Like I said she is not potty trained and she is in diapers. So, after two tries Ken was able to find the right size diaper. The first ones were the newborn size. But it is deceiving because on the packaging it is only in Chinese so he did good to just get diapers, let alone the right size. In our room there is a waist high mirror across the end of the room. Ever since Mayleah had her bath she has been fascinated with the mirror. She also hoards everything. She tried to pick up a beach ball, a stacking cup and a sippy cup and try to stay standing. She has the development of an 18-24 mo old child. She just lights up though which is awesome. We are going to go down the road buy some "squeaky" shoes. These shoes are very well known in China. They encourage children to learn to walk because they have squeakers in them and every time they take a step the shoes squeak. My 24 mo size clothes are long on her. Adjusting to her size is interesting. Ken just keeps on saying, "she is soooo little". They chopped her hair off in the back of her neck. So, she has a funky hair cut. Hopefully it will grow in soon. Sheyhan, our guide, was very surprised that she was still on a bottle and still in diapers because that is "not the chinese way". She also wanted to know if we still wanted her. Can you believe that? We said YESSSS!! No question. Well, we need to go. Thanks for praying for this little girl and her transition. We will continue to need your prayers in the days ahead. Chris
