Meet our girl! This is the first exposure that we had with her! She was brave here!
This is one of her caretakers right after we got her. See how small she is. She also is NOT potty trained and she was still on a bottle. The guide said to try to use sippy cups first and hopefully we will not need to use bottles. We brought none of this so Ken had to make some quick stops after we got back to the room. When ever Ken would talk to her or look at her she would look away. She would only look at him if he was looking away. I did get a smile from her as soon as we got her and she scrunched up her nose at me when she smiled. She did receive the package we sent to her and they took a bunch of pictures on the disposable camera so Ken took that down to get that developed. She came in a teletubbies jacket, a hello kitty sweater, new socks and white leggings and squeaky shoes. After Ken left to go get diapers, I took her shoes off and she started to cry. She cried out loud for a while but then she went into the internal convulsive sobbing. Now she has been drinking like a camel. She also hoards food. When we got her she had a biscuit in her hand that she had been hanging onto for quite a while. We offered goldfish crackers and M&M's and she has been hoarding them. I am unsure if she has been given very much food up until this point. We will see as time goes on. We might need to limit the amount she takes in so she doesn't make herself sick.
